The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly Domain Transactions.

The Good

In the last couple of years I have not been actively trying to sell domains. I had privacy turned off on all my domains, and I would just simply wait for the call. Most of successful sales were started with phone calls. More often then not, the person was very polite and patient as we began to negotiate and once we would reach a price we both agreed upon, we would start the lengthy escrow.com transaction. Generally all of my sales thus far have been with end users, and a great experience. Sometimes it was a big company hiding behind lawyers other times it was obvious who the buyer was.

The Bad

I could usually ignore the bots, as I have enough domains that once I got one spambot email I usually had two or three identical ones. I used to like the bots that came with an monetary offer based on some algorithm. Fellow domain speculators would usually start with an email (with a name that could not be researched from a hotmail or a gmail address). I would soon find out their highest price, which in my opinion would be quite low, and that would be the end of it. Others would say my prices are ridiculous, or they would state they deserve the domain more then me because it was their nickname or there company is small.

The Ugly

I decided to censor the Ugly. Needless to say, the prospective buyer wasn’t courteous, which made negotiation very difficult leading to eventual no sale.
